Diesel Fuel (D2)

It appears as a liquid ranging in color from light yellow to light brown and is used as fuel in diesel engines. Diesel has specific properties making it suitable for various applications:

Transportation:

The primary use of diesel is in diesel engines, which power heavy vehicles such as trucks, buses, trains, and ships. Diesel engines are known for their high efficiency and ability to withstand significant pressures, making them suitable for vehicles requiring high power and durability.

Power Plants and Electricity Generation:

Diesel is used as fuel in some power plants to generate electricity, especially in smaller and emergency power plants.

Construction and Industrial Equipment:

Diesel powers construction equipment like bulldozers, loaders, and cranes, as well as industrial equipment such as generators and pumps.

Agriculture:

Additionally, compared to gasoline, diesel has a higher boiling point and greater viscosity.
