Toluene

Toluene is an organic aromatic compound with the chemical formula C7H8. It is a primary component of crude oil and a byproduct in the production of coke from coal. Toluene features a benzene ring attached to a methyl group, which gives it unique physical and chemical properties. It is a colorless liquid with a sharp smell similar to that of benzene, a boiling point of about 110 degrees Celsius, and a freezing point of -95 degrees Celsius. Toluene is slightly soluble in water but dissolves well in many organic solvents like alcohol, ether, and benzene. Its industrial applications include:
